So it's come to my attention that a lot of you, whether because you've just become met fans, or because you have depressing negative temperaments have lost hold of the ol mets slogan (started in 1973, before i was born) "Ya gotta believe!" These are the Amazins, and despite playing like crap, we're at .500 and we are only 4 games back.
You KNOW that david wright will start swinging better soon (such as he did last september, when we hit over .350) and beltran should break out of it. Delgado might be a lost cause, but Willie seems more likely to platoon for him on occasion and give him breaks and he can still hit for power on occasion. And Reyes is heating up for sure.
Tatis is really living up to his musical theme, and Ramon Castro/Brian Schneider are a nice combo at catcher. When a healthy Ryan Church comes back and maybe Alou as well, our bench will be solid, and our team will be solid.
This is a team that can and should still win the NL East.
